Think, Do & Be Positive
"Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you." - Walt Whitman
Happy Friday everyone!
Let's face it, we all need an attitude adjustment from time to time. To be able to snap ourself out of a self-inflicted funk, feeling sorry for ourselves, carrying around negative emotions or thoughts, and focusing on fears and worries. I know it can sometimes pose to be a greater challenge to do so based on current situations and circumstances. Plus, some of it is just human nature, as our brains are hard-wired to look for and focus on things that are threats to us. Society around us makes it difficult. You want proof? Just watch the news.
Working on maintaining and instilling positivity takes effort. It is a daily challenge that requires focus and attention. You must be intentional about staying positive, and keeping a positive attitude. While I do think that focusing on your attitude is more than just positive thinking, I also think it is important not to discount the power behind thinking positively.
Think positive thoughts for they become positive words.
Speak positive words for they become your positive beliefs.
Focus on positive beliefs for they become positive actions.
Take positive actions for they become positive results.
Repeat positive results for they become positive habits.
Sustain positive habits for they become positive values.
Cherish positive values for they become your positive destiny.
Start today! Be Positive!
There is tremendous power behind knowing, understanding and focusing on the positive. Positivity can affect everything. Having a positive attitude and mindset can affect your health. Studies have shown that people who are optimistic are physically and psychologically healthier than people who are pessimists. Positive people tend to be more productive.
Happy people do not experience one success after another and unhappy people, one failure after another. Instead, surveys show that happy and unhappy people tend to have had very similar life experiences. The difference is that the average unhappy person spends more than twice as much time thinking about unpleasant events in their lives, while happy people tend to seek and rely upon information that brightens their personal outlook.
Happy and unhappy people explain the world differently. When an unhappy person must interpret the world, eight out of ten times he or she will see the negative in an event. When a happy person must interpret the world, eight in ten times he or she will see the positive.
The difference is what they focus on. Focus on what you can control: You Thoughts, Your Beliefs, Your Attitudes and Your Actions. It's your choice. Approach everything with an Attitude of Gratitude and focus on what you have, instead of what you do not.
Realize the life lessons you have learned along the way and you will be a happier, more confident person. What we feel and what we believe about who we are and who we can be, is exactly who we become.
Make today great!
