Choose Your Attitudes

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind." - William James

Is this all there is? Is this it?

Every one of us asks this question from time to time. We look at our lives and what's around us with the sense that there's nothing new and never will be. And because of this mood we probably feel disillusioned or even depressed. We experience the 'same old things' in the 'same old way'.

Needless to say, this state of mind has nothing to do with what life actually has to offer. It has everything to do with our attitude - with the way we view the world and respond to it. If we choose to see things only in shades of gray, that's what we're sure to experience.

It's as simple as that. If on the other hand we approach the day with a sense of wonder and interest, it's likely that we'll experience things far differently. If we have a receptive attitude rather than fixed and cynical expectations, we greatly increase our potential to be enthusiastic, inspired and fulfilled. In its own special way, each day offers an endless variety of experience, excitement, and opportunity.

On every level the world is filled with wonders - it's all there. In the end, however, it's up to us. Our attitudes determine what we get out of life. Today may seem to be the same as yesterday, but you have the opportunity to experience it in an entirely different way. It is up to you. Choose your attitudes!

You have to start with the right attitude. In everything you do you must have the right mindset first. You have to get your head in the game to get, be and stay motivate. A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can't go anywhere until you change it.

Make today great!

"Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens." - Kahlil Gibran
