On The Right Track
"Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there." - Will Rogers
We've all got a plan, and it's a good one. We get excited when we think about it. Life will be great when 'this' happens. Everything is ready. So what do we do? We sit and wait for the perfect moment to get started. We wait for life to start happening.
It is good to be poised and ready. Having goals and desires and the right attitude is definitely a step in the right direction. Just knowing where we want to go and preparing to go there isn't enough. At some point, sooner than later, we need to get moving. To take action. To put in some effort. It's risky, I know. Things can go wrong. Things may not work out the way that we plan. But there really is no alternative.
You actually have to get up and get moving if you want to get somewhere. Yes, being on the right track means you are at least headed in the right direction to get to your destination, to achieve what it is you want to achieve. But if you are just going to sit idle, you're likely to get run over by someone else who is trying to get to where you were going.
Today is a new day, a chance for a new beginning. It is another golden opportunity to let go of the past, to put aside unrealized expectations, to forget about yesterday's disappointments. You can be open to new ideas. You can be free to concentrate on the present. It's never too late to begin. You can begin today, this hour, this moment. It is up to you.
What steps can you take now to move toward your goals? Right now. Today. Chunk your goals down into achievable tasks. Do what it takes to act, to follow up and follow through, and to make things happen.
Start now! Make today great!

"Those who keep sitting idle and waiting for miracles to happen cannot be a part of the process and hence, their ideas never get any closer to reality." - Dr. Prem Jagyasi
