Happy Father's Day 2021
"My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person: He believed in me." - Jim Valvano
Fathers come in many forms. Some are here, some are gone. Some are biological, some adopted, and others are simply chosen. But the common thread that weaves throughout each and every one, is an undying devotion to serve something greater than himself.
Being a father is no small task. It's easier to become a father than it is to always be a good one. A man must make the choice to step up every single day, to work tirelessly to give his love, care, and unwavering passion to another. Because there is a massive difference between a man who can talk a good game as a father, and a man who truly lives that game.
I know I may have not always been the best role model or example for my kids when they were growing up. I honestly felt I did the best that I could at the time. Like any family we had been faced with our ups and downs and challenges. I can only hope to serve a better example for them today, and going forward. I cherish every moment I spend with them!
When it comes to those you love, this is the place where you can find the most powerful inner strength. Where you can do more than you ever thought possible to take care of someone else in a way that you’d never do for yourself. The sacrifice, the protection, the unmitigated love — you, the true fathers in this world, are courageous and aspiring. And for this, we honor you.
The best thing about being a dad is being able to see your children grow up and develop into their own selves, to watch them live and learn about life, and to be able to share in their accomplishments and successes along the way. This year was no exception, with one of mine starting their career, one graduating High School and the other graduating Middle School. It all goes by so quickly. Thankful for my three little blessings: Haley, Zach and Chase for serving as a perfect reminder of how truly blessed and proud I am to be their dad! I hope you know how much I believe in each of you and I how much love you!!!
As you see your children continue to get older and grow up as individuals there comes a time when you let go of their hands, but your guiding hand will forever be on their shoulder.
Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there! In remembrance and honor of my dad, who always believed in me. Love you & miss you Dad!
Make Father's Day Great!
