Quote of the day

"The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives." ~ William James Sent wirelessly via BlackBerry from T-Mobile.

Lesson of the Day...Don't Give In To Negativity

Don't give into negativity. Commit yourself to start each day with a positive attitude and it can help you face any obstacles that come your way. Then if you run into others who are negative realize you can't always change that. Instead remove yourself from the situation or view it simply as one obstacle you face in pursuing your own potential. Stay focused on your own goals and make the best of the situation. Live your life with ENTHUSIASM...make TODAY a great day!

Good Food For Thought...Stay Positive

It is a hectic time of year. Christmas is coming...do you have all of your shopping complete? Flu season got you or other family members down? Busy time at work keeping you away from your family? Relatives coming into town? It's GO GO GO, NOW NOW NOW and everyone is just getting mentally and physically worn out it seems. It's a highly stressful time for many people. Today was a perfect example at the office that a Positive Attitude can be contagious. Is YOURS worth catching? And there is NO BETTER TIME than NOW to keep in mind what a POSITIVE ATTITUDE can do for you and everyone else! It can be a small adjustment that can make a world of difference to YOU and to OTHERS around you!! The day started off kind of hum-drum, so I had a quick motivational staff meeting followed by some positive one-on-one interaction with the crew. I reminded everyone what a difference they can make if they focus on keeping a positive attitude. Remember YOU have the choice everyday as to the

Good Food For Thought...."The Year of New Resolutions"

We are coming to the end of another year. How was this year for you? Did you accomplish things you set out to do from the beginning? Were you able to kick off 2009 and sustain action on the resolutions you set?   If you are like most people...I would venture to guess that you have not. But ok, a new year is coming. Time for many of us to set annual New Year's Resolutions. To be honest, I have never been a fan of setting New Year's resolutions. How many of you have, once a year, set New Year's resolutions only to let them fall short only a couple of months into the year? Why do we have to wait until January 1st to set new goals for ourselves anyway? Why wait?   Life begins NOW! Don't let another day go by without setting or working on a goal. Now is the time for change. A change in how we do things. A change in how we think about things. A change in our habits. If you are not getting the results you want...DO NOT continue to do the same things, over and ove

Quote of the Day...What Matters

"It's not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters." ~ Paul "Bear" Bryant
"We come this way but once. We can either tiptoe through life and hope that we get to death without being too badly bruised or we can live a full, complete life achieving our goals and realizing our wildest dreams." ~ Bob Proctor
What goals have you set for your life? What do you want to have and achieve? "If you are bored with life, if you don't get up every morning with a burning desire to do things - you don't have enough goals" ~ Lou Holtz Let's focus in and take the action necessary to have a great finish to 2009 and carry this momentum i...nto 2010. It's going to be a great year! Live your life with ENTHUSIASM...make TODAY a great day

Good Food For Thought..."Start EACH day A#1"

Sometimes we tend to overlook the importance a positive attitude makes on the forming of, and the outcome of each day. Even more importantly it is critical to START out EACH day focusing on this aspect. You will be amazed at the change in the quality of your days. Here's how to start EACH day "A"#1. Each and Every morning take 15-20 minutes to work on the following: ATTITUDE: Start with your attitude. Like I always say, EVERYTHING begins with your attitude. You have to start with the right frame of mind. Like the professional athlete preparing for a game. If they are not mentally prepared to carry out the game plan, the only way they will win is if they get lucky. They must want to win and prepare themselves mentally to win. The same goes for each of us as we approach each day. You have to WANT to have a good day. Therefore we must mentally prepare ourselves for each day. If you are not in the habit of doing this daily, it may take some work initially. But soo
The key is to take steps daily toward your goals, by taking that first step! Nothing takes place without action! "The secret to getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one." ~ Mark Twain. ...Believe that you can...and you will. Live your life with ENTHUSIASM...make TODAY a great day!

Good Food For Thought..."The Carrots, Eggs & Coffee"

Friends, here is a good thought for the tough times. We must endure. Remember this story of a carrot, an egg and coffee. It may give you a different way to look at each cup of coffee you have in the morning. A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a different bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl of its own

Quote of the Day..."Courage"

"Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Good Food For Thought..."More Dealing with Stress & Anxiety".

Times are tough out there. The economy has added even more difficulty for many people. Loss of jobs and lack of jobs. Tight financial times. A feeling of desperation for some people. With all of this comes added stress and adversity. It is critical for all of us to focus in and work not only on our own mental state, but the state of those around us. Work together to help each other through the tough times! Here are some ways to deal with adversity and stress. 1. Build your mental toughness - Strenthen your mental state. "Good work habits help develop an internal toughness and a self-confident attitude that will sustain you through every adversity and temporary discouragement." ~ Paul J. Fleyer. Whether this comes in the form of prayer, incantations, thoughts to build your self-esteem or just focusing on your attitude of gratitude. It is extremely important to do daily and often. Be thankful for the things already in your life. Prayer will give you comfort and strength to get
There are 33 days left in 2009. What action are you doing TODAY to acheive your dreams and goals? Make & keep a list of things that align with your dreams & goals, that you MUST get done. Can you believe you can achieve 33 worthy tasks before the end of this year? Let's create a momentum going into the new year. Together we can make 2010 a GREAT year! "Live your life with ENTHUSIASM...make TODAY a great day!

Good Food For Thought..."Stress 101 at home and at work"

It's the holiday season. "Where did all my time go?" "How am I going to get everything done?" "I need to shop." "I need to decorate." "Everyone is coming over soon." "I don't have enough time." Have you been asking yourself these, or questions like them? It is very common. It is a very busy time for everyone. All of this condensed activity tends to lead to a lot of stress and anxiety. But do you realize that stress is actually a good thing? Well, the right amount of stress...and depending on how we react to it, that is. It helps us feel alive and productive, and it makes life interesting. With too little stress we become bored, tired, unhappy, restless and prone to illness. With too much stress we become burned out, exhausted, overwhelmed, irritable and prone to illness. But with just the right amount of stress we are productive, energetic, happy, creative and healthy! Adjust your priorities and lifestyle to

Good Food For Thought..."Ten Two-Letter Words"

I use this phrase often when I'm speaking with teams or individuals at work. But really just realized how much it can be applied to. It is comprised of Ten 2-letter words: "IF IT IS TO BE...IT IS UP TO ME" When we talked about all of these different areas of focus or improvement over this past week...it all boils down to the same thing. We create our own destiny and are responsible to make things happen for ourselves. It can be applied to Attitude, Action, Making a Difference, Change, Ownership...the list goes on. *Who controls our attitude? If you're having a bad day...who is in control of changing its course? *Every journey begins with that single step. Who can we rely on to take that first step for us? *Sweat the small stuff, because it does make a difference. Who can affect this the most for you right now? Who do we need to rely on to make a difference? *Dealing with Change requires re-focus with your attitude and making the right decisions. Who makes the most imp

Good Food For Thought..."Move Out of Your Own Way"

Do you ever get the feeling you are standing in your own way, when it comes to achieving success? Do your own thoughts and beliefs about yourself and your abilities hold you back from achieving the kind of life or success you deserve?  Whether you can admit it, or if you realize it or not, most everyone does. In reality the tendency is to continually compare ourselves to others who have attained the things we desire. We tend to manifest feelings of inferiority because we may not be where we want to be in life. These feelings are often turned into thoughts that we are not good enough to achieve these things. Very often, this leads to feelings that we don’t deserve good things. Even if we do work hard and achieve some worthwhile objectives, we believe that we are not really entitled to our successes, and we often engage in behaviors that sabotage our successes. Then there we are again...standing in OUR OWN way of our success.  What you have to do is realize that YOU DO DESERVE SUCCESS!

Quote of the Day..."Expectations"

"Don't lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality" ~ Ralph Marston

Good Food for Thought..."Great Gifts That Don't Cost A Cent"

It is really easy to find joy in giving.  Here are some great gifts that do not cost a cent.  The Gift Of Listening: But you must really listen, no interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your response. Just listening! It will show them that you really care.   The Gift of Affection: Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and handholds. Let these small actions demonstrate the love you have for family and friends.   The Gift of Laughter: Share articles, cartoons, and funny stories or even sing songs together. You deserve to feel good, have fun and smile. Sometimes it's great to just be silly. Your gift will say "I love to laugh with you".   The Gift of A Written Note: It can be simple "Thanks for the help" or recognition for a job well done. A quick e-mail to say hello to an old friend. Or take the time to tell someone how much they really mean to you...or the positive difference they have made in your life! A brief, handwritten note may be

Thought of the Day..."Opportunities"

Are you keeping an eye out for opportunites that may be right in front of you? We must always remember that success comes when preparation meets opportunity. Sometimes we focus so much on missed opportunities, that we fail to recognize new ones. The key is to prepare yourself for opportunity...and be ready to take action when it shows itself. Live your life with ENTHUSIAM...make TODAY a great day!!!

Thought of the Day..."Initiative & Persisting"

Success comes from taking initiative & persisting... What simple action could you take today to produce momentum toward success in your life?”The most important thing you can do to achieve your goals is to make sure that you immediately begin to create momentum by taking immediate action. Never leave the site of setting a goal without first taking some form of positive action toward its attainment.” ~ Anthony Robbins

Thought of the Day..."Get Involved".

But when you get involved, you immediately should feel a sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing that you are working to make things better! Live your life with ENTHUSIASM...make TODAY a great day!!!

Thought of the Day..."RELAX"

Feeling overwhelmed? Take some time to RELAX. R:Realize your dreams, E:Execute and take small action steps daily, L:Live in the moment, life is a journey, A:Attitude is key in all instances, X:X-pect to win. In other words, focus on the things that make a difference and are important to you...the rest...is just "stuff". Live your life with ENTHUSIASM, make TODAY a great day!!!

Topic of the Day..."Attitude"

It is important that we keep in mind the almighty factor...that is our ATTITUDES. Here is a great reminder from Charles Swindoll... “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” ~ Charles Swindo

Thought of the Day..."Productivity"

"If you are not making the progress that you would like to make and are capable of making, it is siimply because your goals are not clearly defined. Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning and focused effort". ~ Paul J. Meyer

Quote of the Day..."Success"

"Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one's ideas, to take a calculated risk - and to act." ~ Maxwell Maltz

Quote of the Day ~ "Time"

"Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back." ~ Harvey MacKay

Good Food For Thought..."Today Is A Gift"

Be thankful for today because today is a gift. As we head into the holiday season, and Thanksgiving, it always serves as a good time to remember all of the things we are thankful for. Regardless of where you are in your life, or where you want to be - one of the keys in life is to to maintain an attitude of gratitude. Be thankful for the things that you already have - and the law of attraction states to also be thankful for the things you desire. Be thankful for them as if they are already yours. More importantly be thankful for the simple things. Sometimes we tend to overlook them and take them for granted. Be thankful for life, for the air that you breathe, for the gift of a positive attitude, for the day itself and for your personal ability to take action on opportunities...the list is endless. Be thankful for the people in your life...for friends and family and the people around you who have made a positive impact in your life. This could be a stranger who passed you by and g

Thought of the Day ~ The Leader In You

"The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjusts the sails." ~ John Maxwell There is a leader inside of each of us. What will you choose to do, how will you choose to react? The choice is yours. Your destiny depends on it. Live your life with enthusiasm. Make TODAY a great day!!!
