Good Food For Thought..."Today Is A Gift"

Be thankful for today because today is a gift.

As we head into the holiday season, and Thanksgiving, it always serves as a good time to remember all of the things we are thankful for.

Regardless of where you are in your life, or where you want to be - one of the keys in life is to to maintain an attitude of gratitude. Be thankful for the things that you already have - and the law of attraction states to also be thankful for the things you desire. Be thankful for them as if they are already yours.

More importantly be thankful for the simple things. Sometimes we tend to overlook them and take them for granted. Be thankful for life, for the air that you breathe, for the gift of a positive attitude, for the day itself and for your personal ability to take action on opportunities...the list is endless.

Be thankful for the people in your life...for friends and family and the people around you who have made a positive impact in your life. This could be a stranger who passed you by and gave you a smile...when you needed one most. This could be the coach who cared enough to push you enough to help you succeed instead of letting you give in. This could be the manager who held you accountable because they knew you could be more and achieve more in your career. This could be the person who always seems to be there when you need them.

Think about these things often and always. The time is NOW. Always remember...as I said, that TODAY is a GIFT!

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would YOU do? Well I would imagine that you would draw out every cent, of course! Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow". You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in life, in health, happiness and success!

It's the only thing in life that EVERYONE has equal amounts of. But what makes one person more successful than another? It's not by having MORE time. Because MORE time than another is impossible. It's what the successful person decides to do with their time. It's what they make of the time that they have. How often have you had good intentions of getting something that you "said was important" done...but said "When I have more time...I'll do it". Or, "I'll have to set aside some time, or make some time" to get it done. There is no such thing. The time is there. You MUST utilize it wisely - to get the most out of it.

Time waits for no one. The clock is running..we must make the most of today. Don't hesitate to seize the moment.

To realize the value of one year: ask a student who has failed a final exam.
To realize the value of one month: Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of one week: Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper who missed a deadline.
To realize the value of one day: Ask a daily wage laborer with a family and kids to feed.
To realize the value of one hour: Ask the lovers who are just waiting to meet.
To realize the value of one minute: Ask a person who has missed their train, bus or plane.
To realize the value of one second: Ask a person who has just barely avoided an fatal accident.
To realize the value of one millisecond: Ask a person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

Yesterday is history...
Tomorrow is a mystery...
Today is a GIFT...thats why it's called "THE PRESENT".

"Enjoy your day and make the most of it! Live your life with ENTHUSIASM...Make TODAY a great day"
