Feed Your Mind
"The more you feed your mind with positive thoughts, the more you can attract great things in to your life." - Roy T. Bennett
It's simple. If we don't eat, we get weak and die. Similarly, if we don't feed our minds, they will get weaker and eventually fail us. We need to feed our minds daily.
We all have struggles and challenges. We all have fears. The best way to combat this is to feed your mind with positive input. Feeding your mind with positive information can turn your life around. If you want to feel more confident in life, you have to start reconnecting with yourself and your emotional state of mind. Reconnect with your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and beliefs and determine if those thoughts, feelings, and beliefs benefit or hinder you.
This is important because our emotional and mental state controls our reactions. What we think about, we bring about. What goes into your mind determines how you experience your life. What you feed your mind will help to determine your character in life. Your mind will always believe what we consistently feed it. So you need it with positive, helpful, healthy information and thoughts. Feed it with new strategies and philosophies that support your well-being. It takes training and conditioning of your mind.
We have to be careful who we associate with and what our source of information is. What information do you feed into your mind, and where do you get it? The news? Social media? The problem is we live in a culture with so much fear. Then we begin to focus on what we are afraid of. And when we focus on the fear, then we cease to take the actions necessary. You should seek to feed it with positive, challenging, thought-provoking information. By filling it with strategy, philosophy, or something that has real value can change the game.
Also, be cautious of your inner dialogue. This can be just as, if not more dangerous. Your thoughts and words about yourself matter. These are the things we tell ourselves about ourselves when we are by ourselves. We can also be feeding ourselves the wrong information. Because this becomes what we believe about ourselves. And where the mind goes, energy flows. We begin to take actions that work against us. Remind yourself, you are enough. You are strong enough, good enough, smart enough, talented enough.
But just feeding yourself the information is not enough. If we just feed our minds, all we are doing is gaining knowledge. Knowledge by itself is not power. Knowledge plus action is true power. You must take action. If you want things to get better, you have to get better. If you want things to change, you have to change. You have to do it deliberately, consciously, and intentionally, on purpose. We need to actively and intentionally seek the life we want. Don't let it seek you. Remember who is in control; you are. Be the guardian and protector to the doors of your mind. This will allow us to take back control of our life.
Most people know what to do. They just don't do it. The reason most people don't take action is because of fear. Fear is what holds us back and keeps us from doing what we need to do. Fear keeps us from taking action. Fear distracts us from going after what we desire. But remember that fear is an emotion and a feeling. So is courage. Courage doesn't mean you don't experience fear. It's that you feel the fear and take action anyway. You can settle for life and let it happen. Or you can create the life of your dreams by taking action.
The key is to create a positive and healthy habit every day. Every single day you have to do something to feed your mind. First thing every morning, you should lock in and reconnect. It can be simple, and it can be quick. 10-20-30 minutes a day every morning will jump-start your day and put you in a productive and healthy state of mind. Be disciplined and make it habitual. Don't negotiate with yourself. When you push yourself beyond what is comfortable, it will develop into determination and a sense of will to achieve.
The daily practice and continued immersion will lead to progressive happiness. Repetition is the mother of skill. If you hear something once, you may learn it. If you hear it again, you begin to understand it. If you hear it enough times, it begins to shift your thinking and can alter your life. Every day is a new day in which you must actively and intentionally pursue what you will feed your mind. You must get momentum and keep momentum. Momentum is everything. Because if you discipline yourself in one area of your life, you know you can do it in other areas of your life. Keep reading, learning, improving, and practicing.
Success is a journey, not a destination. It is a daily thing. Realize you are successful every day.
Make today great!
