Happy Thanksgiving 2020

"God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.  Have you used one to say 'Thank You?'" - William A. Ward

To be grateful can sometimes be difficult when things seem not worth giving thanks for. But if we take a moment to truly look and count your blessings, even in these times there's so much to be grateful and thankful for, and it's so important to bring gratitude and thankfulness into every part of your life.

Today, I realize there are so many things to be thankful for: First and foremost I am thankful for the blessing of my amazing kids, my family who is always there for me, and for great friendships! I am thankful for the gift of life, and the life I am living. I am thankful for everything that is in my life right now. I am thankful for my job and for opportunities that present themselves. I am thankful for the ability and desire to do more, to become more and to make a positive difference and add value.

In all things, let us remember to always give thanks.  Carry forward an attitude of gratitude in all we do.  Gratitude enables us to move on, grow and develop; with it comes peace, joy, laughter, good times and memories-in-the-making, to your life and to everyone around you!  Focus on the things we have, not on the things we do not. Be grateful for what you have already achieved while you strive to get what you desire. Life is a blessing, live it.

Living with an attitude of gratitude doesn't mean you are, or will be, happy all of the time, it means staying positive and having faith that things will improve. That every step along the way we are moving towards something bigger and better just around the corner.

  • Be thankful for each moment, of each new day, and the gift of life.
  • Be thankful for friends and family even if they are far away.
  • Be thankful for our ability to smile, laugh, sing and dance.
  • Be thankful for everything we already have in our life, big and small.
  • Be thankful for the many blessings that we far too often take for granted.
  • Be thankful for kindness, caring and love.

If you want to become great and live a life of significance, you have to be able to shift your focus on being grateful. You can change any situation in your life by simply redirecting your mind to focus on what’s right about it versus what is wrong, what is positive versus what is negative, for the lesson learned versus the act of what happened, for the good versus the bad.

We get more of what we focus on. Positive thoughts can energize your day and the perfect way to start each morning! Carry forth an attitude of gratitude for all you have and in all you do. It will make a world of difference, not only for you, but also for everyone you associate with.

May you have a blessed Thanksgiving. And always remember, in the wise words of Erma Bombeck, "Thanksgiving dinners can take approximately eighteen hours to prepare.  They are consumed in twelve minutes.  Football games 'Half-times' take twelve minutes.  This is NOT a coincidence."

Make the most out of life, start today, make today great! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
